Katy Perry performed “Never Really Over” at the Au Son do Caminho Music Festival. As part of his performance, he mentioned former lovers including John Mayer and Orlando Bloom. She then celebrated her current boyfriend, Justin Trudeau.
On June 18, Katy Perry headlined Spain’s O Son do Caminho music festival in Santiago de Compostela. During the show, she sang her hit song “Never Really Over” and incorporated some of her personal history into the stage design. That included an update on his relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Videos shared by fans on social media showed the backdrop of Perry singing, including a giant fake screen display. While singing, he received various “phone calls” from ex-lovers, including one from Diplo, which he “rejected” many times. She then received a phone call from “JM”. That seems to be referring to John Mayer, who she had a relationship with before Orlando Bloom.
When “OB” called, Perry wasn’t interested either. But she quickly got out when a caller named “JPJT” rang with a red heart and Canadian flag emoji.
The two have been dating since July 2025, and finally made their official red carpet appearance on June 8 at the premiere of Perry’s concert film Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour at the Tribeca Festival. In an interview with People at the event, Perry shared her thoughts on her relationship.
“I’ve become a more grounded person in many aspects of my life,” Perry said. “And actually, that show was after I met the love of my life, and I felt very anchored in that show because I’m like a rainbow kite.”
She added, “I fly so high and touch the veil…the universe…but sometimes I need to be anchored. So I was able to get that anchorage and now I feel really complete.”
