The royal family celebrated Father’s Day on Instagram, sharing a behind-the-scenes look at Princess William and Princess Charlotte on Trooping the Color. The princess wore a white dress with a Peter Pan collar.
On Sunday, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a photo on their official Instagram page to celebrate Father’s Day. The images showed Prince William and his daughter Princess Charlotte hugging each other while wearing costumes from the annual Trooping the Color public celebration of King Charles’ birthday.
William was wearing official uniform, and Charlotte was wearing a white dress with a Peter Pan collar and ribbon. During the big event, Princess Charlotte subtly matched her mother Kate Middleton by wearing a three-strand pearl bracelet. The Princess of Wales wore a baby blue Catherine Walker blazer dress with white details, a matching Philip Treacy hat, and her own version of a Nigel Milne-designed bracelet once worn by the late Princess Diana.
The caption for the behind-the-scenes image read: “Happy Birthday and Father’s Day to the best dad in the world! We love you so much. C, G, C, L💕.”
In March 2026, royal photographer Chris Jackson shared with Page Six how Princess Charlotte and her siblings Prince George and Prince Louis were participating in public events.
“I don’t see them very often, but when I do, it’s so much fun to watch them grow,” Jackson explained. “I think they understand that being in this situation is not normal.”
He added: “It’s lovely to see them interacting together. It’s been really special to photograph them over the years.”
The proud parents celebrated Charlotte’s 11th birthday in May by posting videos and photos on Instagram, including shots of her playing sports and with her dog.
