“Lost” star Maggie Grace has secretly taken steps to officially end her marriage to Brent Bushnell in 2025 after seven years of marriage.
According to documents obtained by Page Six on Tuesday, the actress filed for divorce from Bushnell in Washington in May 2025, citing an “irretrievably broken” marriage as the reason, but claimed they have been living apart since October 1, 2024, their official separation date.
Additionally, the “Taken” actress, 42, requested in her petition that her name be legally changed back to Margaret Grace Ives.
Bushnell and the Californication actress welcomed their first child together, a son, in 2020. My son was 4 years old at the time of application.
The documents also revealed that the former couple had a second child, a daughter named Fiona.
The document states that the child is one year old at the time of the application and that the parents make shared decisions about matters such as schooling, medical care and extracurricular activities.
According to the filing, the actress was eventually granted primary custody of the children, with Bushnell gaining weekend custody of her son and finally weekend custody when her daughter was 3 1/2 years old.She was re-reasserted of her maiden name in a finalized divorce dated August 13, 2025.
The co-parents also agreed to split holidays, giving Grace the option to spend several weekends with the children and Bushnell the option to request that his ex-wife take care of the children during parenting time in case he was out of town for work.
Additionally, the former couple signed a prenuptial agreement in May 2017, which Grace asked to be upheld in her filing.
A representative for Mr. Grace did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment Tuesday night, and a representative for Mr. Bushnell could not be reached for comment.
Grace and Bushnell got engaged in February 2017, and the “Suits LA” star shared the news on Instagram.
“The strongest and sweetest song is yet to be sung (Whitman),” she captioned a romantic photo of herself aboard a canoe.
At the time, she also uploaded a photo of him attending the Los Angeles Women’s March, writing “WHAT A MAN #StrongMenSupportStrong” next to the snapshot.
Before marrying Bushnell, Grace was engaged to film director Matthew Cooke. In 2015, she showed off her engagement ring from him at the Global Green USA Pre-Oscar Party.
