As “The Way Home” draws to a close, Hallmark will release a playlist of more than 30 songs, including original songs, covers, and scores used throughout the seasons. The news was announced Sunday at the ATX TV Festival by stars Chyler Leigh, Evan Williams, Sadie LaFlamme-Snow and others.
On June 12th, the 30-song playlist will be released on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and everywhere music is streamed. Two songs from the last two episodes (aired June 14 and June 21) will be added at a later date.
“The music in ‘The Way Home’ is an essential part of the series and is expertly used to set the time and place of each era,” says Michelle Vicary, Head of Programming, Hallmark Media. “We’re so proud of this amazing show and grateful for our loyal fans, so it was easy for us to decide to release these songs they’ve fallen in love with.”
The playlist includes many songs performed by Laflamme-Snow, including “By the Light of the Moon” and “Where This Water Meets the Sea,” as well as multiple versions of “Everything I Wanted.” Covers include “You Learn” performed by Lee, “Time After Time” performed by Williams, and “Summer Breeze” performed by Jordan Dow and Laflamme-Snow. All included scores were written by the show’s composer, Keith Power.

Co-showrunners and executive producers Heather Conkey and Alexandra Clarke said in a statement: “We’re thrilled to be able to do this for The Way Home fans who have been asking for the release of our incredible original music and score since Season 1.” “Music has always been a very important element to our show, not only because it’s a huge passion of our Landry family for generations, but also because it’s such a moving and perfect way to mark the new era and period our characters have come to explore.”
They also wanted to honor Head of Music Power and Music Supervisors Jennifer Peiken and Anne Klein.
Klein said part of the creative joy of the series was building on the music across decades, saying, “Every song was chosen to honor the show’s core themes of family, home, friendship, and love while maintaining a consistent emotional identity across eras, from the 1800s to the present day.”
“The heavy lifting in the time travel storyline was made possible thanks to original songs written by Maria Taylor, Keith Power and Alan Doyle,” Pyken added. “They crafted beautiful songs that fit seamlessly into the story. Watching our cast bring these songs to life in different time periods brought the project to life at its heart.”
“The Way Home” airs Sundays at 9pm ET on Hallmark.
