“Teen Wolf” alum Dylan Sprayberry announced over the weekend that he is a Scientologist and talked about his “epic experience.”

“I’m a Scientologist. I’ve been a Scientologist for three years,” the actor told his Instagram followers on Sunday. “It was wonderful.”

As for “what first got him interested in Scientology,” the 28-year-old explained that it started five years ago after he “got off drugs and got clean and sober.”

“In the early days of my sobriety, I was like, ‘Okay, I’m sober now. I’m so proud of myself and I’m seeing the difference in being sober from drugs,'” Sprayberry recalls. However, he felt that the “huge amount of anxiety and depression” that had caused his previous addiction was “still there” and “suppressed.”

“It was tough, but I had to face it. … I ignored it and was numb to it for 10 years,” he recalled.

When the “Man of Steel” star began “looking for a solution,” he was introduced to the Church of Scientology.

“As a Scientologist, the first thing we do when we begin our ministry is something called a cleansing rundown,” he said, calling it “a detox program that permanently removes drugs and toxins from the body.”

In addition to the “fun” program, Sprayberry credits L. Ron Hubbard’s book “The Path to Happiness” with opening his eyes to creating his own joy.

“I had a big realization, and it sounds really stupid to say it now, but it was that happiness is not something you have to have,” he said.

“It’s something I create within myself,” Sprayberry continued. “I’ve been creating my condition all my life. The whole reason I was depressed and anxious was because I wasn’t the creator of my own happiness.”

Sprayberry, who is currently expecting her first child with wife Pruett Carle, insisted she is “doing well.”

“It was such a special experience for me that I just wanted to share it with you all,” he concluded. “I’ve been able to put myself in a really good place in life and I’m doing really great things.”

Sprayberry told her more than 2 million followers that she would share a link to the book in her bio for anyone who might be “interested” in its message.

Sprayberry rose to fame playing the young Clark Kent in the 2013 blockbuster film Man of Steel. He also became a fan favorite for playing Liam Dunbar on MTV’s hit series Teen Wolf from 2014 to 2017.

Other celebrity Scientologists include Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Kirstie Alley, and other celebrities.
