Teddi Mellencamp bravely showed off his brain surgery scar as he continues to battle stage 4 cancer.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum posted a photo of his shaved head on Instagram on Thursday, revealing the scar from last year’s emergency brain surgery.
The merry-go-round also posted a snap of her signature long blonde hair. This is in stark contrast to vulnerable photography.
Mellencamp was first diagnosed with melanoma in 2022, which later spread to her lungs and brain.
The Bravolebrity revealed in October last year that her cancer was “gone”, but doctors have not officially deemed her to be in remission.
Since then, her hair has started growing again, making it too long to wear a wig, so the Bravolebrity took to social media to ask her followers for advice and share her hair growth journey.
“This is a question for all my friends who have cancer,” the 44-year-old began on his merry-go-round Instagram reel. “Everyone has been so helpful and introduced me to some amazing wigs that I’ve been using for months now.”
“But my question is, what are we going to do now?” she said, referring to her short blonde hair. “My hair is too long for a wig, and I’m tired of wigs. But what should I do here?”
Her fans received comments praising her short hair look and encouraging her to style it instead of hiding it.
“Dye it bleach blonde and have fun!!” one user suggested. “I love it just the way it is! So cute! 🩷,” another gushed.
Former “Bachelorette” Kaitlyn Bristowe commented: “I love it the way it is… you’re beautiful.” Meanwhile, Real Housewives of Dubai star Caroline Stanbury wrote, “I love your hair ❤️.”
Later Thursday, Mellencamp shared an adorable video of her son Cruise trying to style his hair, but joked in the comments that the 13-year-old ended up looking like “one of the Paul brothers,” referring to Jake Paul and Logan Paul.
She shares Cruise and daughters Slate and Dove with her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave.
Since receiving positive reports regarding her physical health, Mellencamp has focused on recovering emotionally and mentally as well.
“I’ve been in therapy,” she told Page Six in February. “I’ve been working hard to find peace, to find happiness, to find joy, to find myself again.”
Earlier this month, she revealed she was in a new relationship with an “older man.”
“We’ll call him Derek,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum revealed on a recent episode of her podcast “Two Ts in a Pod,” but did not provide any other revealing details about the mystery man.
Mellencamp said her new boyfriend has “talked to me pretty well” about his cancer journey so far, adding, “He’s a relatively positive and logical person.”
“The thing I love most about him is that he makes me laugh,” she exclaimed.
