She feels euphoric about her next career move.
Sydney Sweeney announced shortly after the Season 3 finale of Euphoria that she is launching her own production company, Honey Trap.
The “Anyone But You” actress shared an image from a Deadline article about her new endeavor on Instagram.
She captioned the post, “Stuck around @honeytrap 😉.”
According to the outlet, Honey Trap will sign a first-look deal with Sony Pictures. Kayleigh McGregor, a longtime associate of Mr. Sweeney, will become president of the company’s production and development division.
The 28-year-old “Housemaid” star is already reportedly working on Sony and TriStar Pictures’ remake of “Barbarella,” based on Jean-Claude Forest’s French comic book series and the 1968 film starring Jane Fonda.
Sweeney will also produce and star in the psychological thriller The Registration, which is based on the novel by Madison Lawson.
News of the Emmy nominations was announced the day after the Season 3 finale of “Euphoria” aired on HBO Max.
In the third and final season, Sweeney’s character Kathy Howard starred as an OnlyFans model who filmed lewd scenes.
The “Immaculate” star’s role sparked backlash this season, especially when she dressed up as a baby, but “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson defended the storyline.
“What we always wanted to find is another layer of absurdity that we could tie into there without us getting too into her fantasies and fantasies. The gags are about popping out, breaking down walls,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in April.
In June, the “Idol” creator revealed that she had rejected Sweeney’s proposal to film her scenes without nudity.
