Shirley MacLaine enjoyed lunch on a sunny day ahead of her 92nd birthday.
On April 18, she was photographed leaving a restaurant in Malibu, California, holding on to the arm of her companion. She was wearing a long brown cardigan over a brown top and pants, and black glasses.
Just a few days later, on April 24th, she celebrated her 92nd birthday.
McClain is clearly a fan of the Malibu lunch outing.
Late last month, she was snapped smiling while holding a plate of oysters and a beer in Malibu. Wearing a mint green hoodie and black glasses, the “Steel Magnolias” star grinned at the camera while holding a fork.
In January, McClain was seen arm-in-arm with a male companion during a daytime outing at Nobu, a popular spot for celebrities in Malibu.
MacLaine attributes her longevity to her long dancing career.
“I started training in dance when I was 3 years old and stopped when I was about 67,” she said in an April 2024 interview with People magazine. “It taught me discipline, loving music, working with people, and dealing with pain.”
She also said she remains grateful.
“I have friends and I’m very healthy,” she said.

In December, McClain received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Dance Hall of Fame’s induction ceremony.
“When I was three years old, my mother took me to a dance class because I had weak ankles, and I fell in love with dancing,” she said in her speech. “But it also involved discipline, a love of music, a sense of cooperation with others, and punctuality.”
“And from that day on, I went to class every day until I was in my 60s,” she continued. “I have to say what I learned as part of dance is the reason I’m still here.”
She also said that winning the award for dancing was “the most important appreciation[she]could get.”
