Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are engaged to Best!
On Wednesday, the “The Building’s Only Murder” star joined her Instagram story to celebrate the engagement announcement of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. She shared their co-posts, writing “When Bestie got engaged,” along with a heartface emoji.
She added Queen’s “You Are My Best Friend” as the soundtrack.
Gomez also shared a resurrected message that in 2009, Swift was sent to her along with snaps from their respective engagement announcements.
“Real love still happens sometimes. It’s not just what we make up when we’re nine. I have to believe it. You will too,” the “Blank Space” singer tweeted 16 years ago.
The pair have been BFF since the late 2000s when Gomez, 33, became Nick Jonas and Swift (now 35).
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on Tuesday, with the photo Carousel documenting the proposal in a garden filled with flowers. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are married,” they captioned the post.
Meanwhile, Gomez got engaged to Benny Blanco in December 2024.
“It’s Beginning Forever,” the “Emilia Perez” star captioned the announcement, where she displayed the Marquise’s diamond engagement ring.
Swift went to the comments section to volunteer to play a very special role in the upcoming wedding of the Happy Couple. This is scheduled to take place in Montecito, California in September.
“Yes, I’ll be a Flower Girl,” Swift wrote at the time.
Earlier this month, Gomez spoke about the origins of his friendship with Swift.
“Taylor and I went on a date with the Jonas Brothers,” Gomez said on an August 6 episode of the “Jake Shane and Therapse” podcast.
“I dated Nick and she dated Joe,” she added.
Despite the end of the relationship, the bond between Gomez and Swift remained.
“She and I want to say that the best thing we’ve got from those relationships was that it was just that, because it was really sweet,” Gomez said.
“At that age we became best friends. “We were stuck due to all the ups and downs that came afterwards. And here we are now 16 years from now.”
