Savannah Bananas second baseman Jackson Olson wants to be knocked out of the ballroom on Season 35 of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.”
He joins previously announced celebrity contestants Maura Higgins (The Traitors, Love Island) and Ciara Miller (Summer House). The full cast of celebrities and professional dancers will be announced on September 2nd.
The news comes from Disney’s upfront, where the company also announced that Disney+ will be the exclusive home of Banana Bowl and livestream it this October.
The long-running dance competition series, hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, pairs celebrities with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed, choreographed dance routines. The judges are Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough. The show will be produced by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions in front of a live audience.
In season 34, Robert Irwin and Witney Carson became champions. Social media personalities Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy placed second, Olympic gymnasts Jordan Childs and Ezra Sosa placed third, reality TV personalities Dylan Efron and Daniela Karagach placed fourth, and actresses Elaine Hendricks and Alan Bersten placed fifth.
Irwin will host this summer’s “Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro.”
The collaboration with Savannah Banana has expanded from the 2026 Upfront, with Disney+ in the U.S. now home to The Banana Bowl, set to debut this October.
Banana Bowl will be streamed live on Disney+ and will feature the top teams from the Banana Bowl League competing for the season championship. Known for its blend of athleticism and entertainment, the game will include one of the greatest performances in league history, bringing together all six teams, along with signature on-field showmanship from the first pitch to the final out.
Meanwhile, Disney+ has partnered with the Savannah Bananas to broadcast the game on ESPN and Disney+, and “Banana Bowl” will be streamed live on Disney+, featuring teams from the “Banana Bowl” league competing for the season championship.
