Kayla Rae Reid is celebrating her divorce from Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte after more than a year of separation.
“As of July 1, 2026 at 9:59 a.m., I am officially divorced 🙌🏼,” the model announced on Instagram Wednesday alongside a photo of herself in a yellow dress.
Reid also posted a photo of Nicole Kidman’s “divorce photo,” which shows the actress holding her hands up in joy after her split from Tom Cruise in 2001.
The photo of Kidman was rumored to have been taken after she left her law firm, but the Practical Magic star clarified in a 2024 interview with British GQ that the photo was taken on a movie set and was “not real.”
Several people rushed to congratulate Reid, 34, and one asked in the comments section: “When is the divorce party??”
“Our free women. The best is coming! ❤️,” another person commented.

Page Six confirmed that the divorce was finalized more than a year after Lochte, 41, and Reid announced their separation in March 2025.
“After much prayer and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to end my marriage,” the real estate professional wrote on Instagram last June.
“This has been one of the most painful, revealing, and challenging seasons of my life because I put my marriage first,” Reed continued.
As for Lochte, the statement said: “I am deeply grateful for the life we have built together and especially for the love we have for our three children.”
The former couple tied the knot in a private ceremony at a Florida mansion in 2018. They have since welcomed son Kaiden Zane, now 9, and daughters Liv Ray, 6, and Georgia June, 2.
However, Lochte and Reid’s divorce quickly became controversial, with Lochte and Reid claiming on a March episode of his podcast, “The Comeback Era,” that he had been having an affair with his current fiancée, Molly Gillihan, “for many years.”
The swimmer also boasted that Gillihan was “10 times better” than Reid in a scathing email allegedly sent during their divorce battle in April.
Lochte and Gillihan got engaged last month after 14 months of dating.
