Rob Gronkowski is looking forward to a lot of swearing at the Gronk Beach Music Festival this weekend.
The former NFL player spoke exclusively with Page Six ahead of a DoorDash-sponsored event during WWE’s WrestleMania in Las Vegas this weekend.
“What you can expect is a full-on blitz,” Gronk said in a video interview. “I’m going to go back to where Gronk was when I was 21 to 26.”
“Get your dance moves and party skills back and this party will be the best one yet.”
Artists scheduled to take the stage include DJ Irie, Miles O’Neal and DJ AJ, with WWE Superstars Tiffany Stratton, Trick Williams and Rush Legend also expected to be in attendance.
“If you’re a wrestling fan, this is the party to be at,” Gronkowski said.
When asked what he’s most looking forward to, the retired tight end said, “Standing on the microphone and just talking nonsense.”
“Look, I’m going to pick a fight with one or two of the wrestlers,” he joked. “I do it every year just to laugh and giggle. It’s nothing serious, but I love being on the microphone.
“I love yelling in the crowd. I love pretending to sing into the microphone. And I just bring the juice to the table, and that’s it. Then I raise my glass, let’s have a little cheer, and let’s take the shot.”
To promote the party, Mr. Gronk plans to surprise some lucky DoorDash customers by delivering their orders.
“It’s always fun to do that because you see the shock factor on people’s faces when they open the door and see me,” Gronk said. “And it’s also concerning if they’re football fans.”
“And when they have no idea who I am, it’s alarming for me, and it’s also fun for me, because then I become the idiot, the character who instigates it, and I get even more hysterical, because they have no idea who I am,” he continued.
“So we play even bigger, wilder characters to make it interesting.”
The late-night event will take place on April 19th at The Cosmopolitan’s Marquee Day Club and will feature activations by DoorDash, Monster Energy, Mad Dog, Stella Rosa and Shaka Licious XL Gummies.
“This party is going to be great. We’re ready. We’re going to bring it back to our heyday,” he said, adding, “What if none of my (former NFL) teammates want to come? They’re going to watch it on TV the next day and say, ‘Oh, I should have gone to that party.'”
Past A-listers who have attended Gronkowski’s annual dance party include Bill Belichick, Travis Kelce, Russell Westbrook and Lizzo.
