Get ready, demigods. Disney+ will screen the first few minutes of Percy Jackson Season 3 at San Diego Comic-Con, announcing that it will premiere on November 20th.
The third season, which is an adaptation of Rick Riordan’s third book, Curse of the Titans, introduces Percy Jackson (Walker Scovell), Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri), and the rest of the Half-Blood camp, as well as some new faces, as the series follows Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries) and the huntress Artemis (Dafne Keen) from the Titan Atlas (Holt McCallany).
The season begins with Talia Grace (Tamara Smart) fighting a monster in a parking lot. Percy also helps to defeat the monster, but Talia is visibly annoyed and says she doesn’t need his help. When the demigods win the battle, Annabeth appears and admits that she asked Percy to come because she needs Thalia’s help to rescue the two demigods – presumably Nico and Bianca di Angelo – and take them to the half-blood camp. The tension between Thalia and Percy carries over from the ending of season 2, with Percy openly admitting that he doesn’t want the daughter of Zeus to join them. Before a decision is made, Talia is seen driving away.
Also returning for the third season are Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, Daniel Diemer as Tyson, and Dior Goodjohn as Clarice La Rue. New characters from Greek mythology will also be introduced, including Levi Chrysopoulos as Nico di Angelo, Olive Abercrombie as Bianca di Angelo, Saara Chaudhry as Zoe Nightshade, Hubert Smieleki as Apollo, Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite, and Ming-Na Wen as Hera.
During the panel discussion, Scovell admitted that he believes season 3 is the most faithful adaptation of the original series ever made.
Season 2 of “Percy Jackson” is an adaptation of “The Sea of Monsters,” the second book in Riordan’s fantasy series. Fans will likely see “Percy” twice this year, as Season 1 ended in early 2024 and Season 2 concluded in January of this year. The second season ended with the return of Talia Grace, Zeus’ daughter, who will play a big role in season three.
“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is based on Riordan’s best-selling book series. Riordan created the television series with Jonathan E. Steinberg, who serves as co-showrunner and executive producer along with Craig Silverstein and Dan Shotz. Riordan and his wife Rebecca Riordan. Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vane, Jeremy Bell, and DJ Goldberg. Bert Salke. James Bobin; Jim Rowe; Albert Kim. Jason Ensler. Sarah Watson will also serve as executive producer.
