NBC has officially set the premiere date for the fall 2026 broadcast season.
NBC will officially kick off the fall on September 9th with NFL coverage as the Seattle Seahawks take on the New England Patriots in a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl. The first Sunday night telecast will air on September 13th, when the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants face off.
The network will air the Primetime Emmy Awards on Sept. 14, then kick off its fall writing season three days later with the premiere of “Traitor: The New Blood” on Sept. 17. Alan Cumming will once again host the civilian version of the hit competition series, starting with a two-hour episode on the 17th. Another two-hour episode will air on September 24th, after which the series will move to a one-hour time slot starting October 8th.
Season 30 of ‘The Voice’ begins on September 21st with new coaches Queen Latifah and Riley Greene joining Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine. The new drama “Line of Fire” will air following the two-hour premiere of “The Voice.” The show stars Peter Krauss and Hope Davis and follows a family of law enforcement professionals caught up in a conspiracy.
All three “One Chicago” shows — “Chicago Med,” “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago PD” — will return on Wednesdays starting Oct. 7. “Law & Order: SVU” then returns on Oct. 8, followed by “Law & Order.”
On October 23rd, Reba McIntyre returns for Season 3 of A Happy’s Place, followed by the series premiere of Newlyweds, a new multi-cam comedy starring real-life couple Tea Leoni and Tim Daly as two older adults who impulsively marry after a whirlwind romance.
Finally, season 3 of “St. Denis Medical” returns on Nov. 2, followed by season 2 of “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins.”
As previously reported, the reboot of The Rockford Files starring David Boreanaz and the new comedy Sunset PI will take place in midseason.
NBC will also celebrate its 100th anniversary with a three-hour special airing Dec. 10. Coverage of the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air on November 26th.
