It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s… David Corenswet helps.
Millie Alcock’s “Supergirl” co-stars came to the defense of the actress at the premiere of the DC Universe movie in New York City on Monday.
In a video that went viral on social media, the actor noticed a cameraman reaching out and touching Alcock’s back as he chatted with Nicholas Hoult and Rachel Brosnahan.
Corenswet, who plays Clark Kent/Superman in the film, seemed to be reaching out to the bream and telling him to back off.
Representatives for Mr. Corenwet and Mr. Alcock did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Social media users praised the 32-year-old for defending Alcock, who plays Supergirl’s cousin Kara Zor-El.
“Superman is protecting his cousin as always,” one X user wrote, while another praised how he “jumped in right away.”
A third wrote: “Big respect to David for stepping up like that. Photographers need to protect their hands.”
Alcock and Corenswet were photographed together at an event in Manhattan.
Coren Wet was dressed for the occasion, while the House of the Dragons alum wore a strapless black top and slacks.
Last month, Alcock clapped back at the blockbuster’s early critics.
“(The hate) is coming from a lot of people who don’t have pictures on their profiles, who are burner accounts,” Alcock told Variety in May. “Or someone’s name followed by ‘Christian, father of four children,’ is so funny to me.”
She went on to ask, “Whose opinion do you really care? If you’re offending the right kind of people, you’re fine.”
Earlier this month, Alcock’s appearance was also publicly shamed by former Superman Dean Cain, with fans slamming the 59-year-old’s “cruel” and “disgusting” comments.
Alcock said in an interview with Vanity Fair in April that he was bracing for a backlash for “just existing” in the lead role.
“Of course I’m scared,” she said at the time. “Of course I want people to like me and this movie, but at the end of the day, that’s out of my control.”
“Supergirl” opens in theaters on Friday.
