A family trip to the UK is still up in the air, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly traveling to Europe with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The family of four is currently vacationing in Europe, but the location is unknown, People newspaper reported on Sunday.
Earlier this month, we heard that Prince Harry, 41, and Markle, 44, were planning to bring their children to the UK in July for the first time since 2022.
Page Six previously reported that Prince Harry was hoping to bring his wife and children back to the UK while he promotes the Invictus Games in Birmingham next year. We hear that Prince Harry is keen to take his family to see his father, King Charles.
However, the trip may reportedly be canceled after the couple were denied taxpayer-funded travel coverage.
“Their plans to meet family and friends and visit various charities close to the Duke’s heart were scrapped at the eleventh hour,” a source told the Guardian on Sunday.
A source said the Duke of Sussex is “considering all options” to bring Markle, 7-year-old Archie, and 5-year-old Lilibet to the UK “safely and to ensure their safety while on the ground.”
A source previously told Page Six that Prince Harry will bring his own security team with him as the couple prepares for a “big spectacle.”
A source said the family will not be traveling on a private jet, but will have their own bodyguards, adding: “Prince Harry always travels with one of two members of his security team.”
We were told that Mr Harry, who pays around $3 million a year for private security in the US, has yet to be given VIP security and is in a “holding pattern” after battling with the UK Home Office for a 24/7 armed police escort.
However, Prince Charles reportedly extended an olive branch to Prince Harry, offering him a royal residence with private security for his stay with his wife and children.
Prince Harry is scheduled to attend the Invictus Games’ ‘One Year to Go’ Countdown Celebration, scheduled for July 10th to 17th, 2027.
