Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift have reportedly decided not to have a wedding in Rhode Island for safety reasons.
“Taylor and Travis really wanted to get married in Rhode Island and June 13th was the date, but security wouldn’t have worked because an event of that size can get out of hand,” a source told Us Weekly.
“At one point Ocean House (in Westerly) was planned, but then plans changed to New York,” the source added.
The “Bad Blood” singer’s security “had to evaluate every venue to determine what was reasonable,” a source told the outlet.
“Rhode Island wasn’t great because of the nature of access and the boundaries were too difficult to secure,” the official added.
“So Rhode Island’s main issue was security at the end of the day.”
A source told Us Weekly: “Everything was planned in Rhode Island, and so many people wanted to come that we had to change plans due to the size.”
Page Six reached out to representatives for Swift and Kelce for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
As Page Six exclusively reported, Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs star, both 36, are scheduled to exchange vows on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
“Everyone has been sworn to secrecy,” a source told us.
Karlie Kloss, Zoe Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Suki Waterhouse, Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez are among the stars who have reportedly received invitations to the upcoming wedding.
Page Six exclusively reported that Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw are set to perform at the star-studded wedding, which could be even bigger than the Met Gala.
It was also reported that the pop star will undergo multiple costume changes during her long-awaited wedding celebrations with Kelce.
To keep their ceremony safe and private, the couple asked for permits, closed roads around The Garden, and a public tent set up outside the venue.
