Jalen Brunson supported his new friend Mariska Hargitay on Broadway.
The New York Knicks made a surprise appearance Friday night to watch the “Law & Order: SVU” actress perform on “Every Brilliant Thing.”
According to photos obtained by Page Six, Branson and Hargitay pose together backstage with their respective spouses, Ali Marks and Peter Herman.
A source told People magazine that the 29-year-old NBA champion sat in the center orchestra at New York City’s Hudson Theater and smiled as Hargitay, 62, narrated a play about themes of mental health, family and resilience.
Towards the end of the show, the “ER” alum peeked into a box and pulled out Brunson’s Knicks jersey.
The crowd gave the athlete a standing ovation weeks after he and his teammates defeated the San Antonio Spurs in the 2026 NBA Finals.
Branson reportedly snuck out of the audience before the play ended, but returned backstage to give Harrigtai flowers.
“It was a very sweet feeling. He was congratulating her and telling her how much he loved the show,” a source told People.
“She was so excited that he was there and you could tell how much they admired each other,” the source added.
Afterwards, the two and their spouses enjoyed dinner together. Page Six obtained photos of Branson and the “Baywatch” actress exiting the restaurant.
Brunson has previously been outspoken about his admiration for Hargitay, admitting that he looks for her at every Knicks home game.
After the Knicks won, the actress celebrated by posting a throwback photo of Brunson as a child on Instagram.
“Found a Way” was written in orange and blue letters above the point guard’s photo.
“And you are a guide for many,” the actress captioned the photo. “Congratulations to everyone and a big thank you. #NBAFINALS Captain @jalenbrunson1 @nyknicks Champion #Believe.”
Brunson revealed that he would like to co-star with Hargitay in an episode of Law & Order: SVU now that basketball season is over.
