The brick is there. Lego has teamed up with Gillian Anderson to announce a new “X-Files” set with 1,478 pieces and 8 minifigures (including Mulder and Scully).
The X-Files set is part of the company’s fan-favorite LEGO Ideas series, where users can submit product ideas and vote on them to be considered for production as official LEGO sets.
The “X-Files” Lego set includes a detailed replica of FBI Agent Fox Mulder’s office, as well as a deforestation scene and a hovering UFO. Minifigures include Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Walter Skinner, Mr. X, Alex Krycek, Carl Busch, Flukman, and the Gray Alien. Inside are details like an “I Want to Believe” poster, “X-Files” dossier, “The Truth is Out There” tiles, a pencil that was on the ceiling of Mulder’s office, and a nod to his sunflower seed habit.
“Seeing yourself in minifigure form is surreal and oddly fun. There’s something very appealing about ‘miniaturization,'” Anderson said in a statement. “The whole set is a beautiful celebration of The X-Files, and we hope fans enjoy it as much as we do and revisit it. We can’t wait to have little Scully on shelves.”
Anderson participated in a promotional film that featured a nod to Scully embarking on an investigation that led to a Lego set. See below:
Australian fan designer and 3D artist Brent Waller submitted an original idea for an “X-Files” set as art for LEGO Ideas’ 90s Nostalgia Challenge.
“I’ve been obsessed with ‘The X-Files’ since the moment I first saw ‘The X-Files’ in the ’90s. I originally built Mulder’s office while rewatching the series in 2014, and it grew from there as a personal project,” Waller said in a statement. “From Mulder’s office to the woods to his encounters with UFOs, we wanted to capture the feel of the show through a combination of nostalgia, detail and storytelling. We’re thrilled to see this become an official LEGO set and hope it resonates with both longtime fans and new viewers.”

Lego Insiders Early Access members will get first crack at buying this set (retail price $199.99) on Lego.com starting August 1st. The set will then be available to the public starting August 4th. For those who purchase this set between August 1st and August 10th, LEGO will also include a bonus gift, “The X-Files: Scully’s Lab” while supplies last.
