Kristin Cavallari accidentally spilled the beans that she was paid more than the rest of the cast on “Laguna Beach.”
On Tuesday, while Cavallari and fellow alums Lauren Conrad and Stephen Colletti were playing a game of Wing Roulette on First We Feast and TikTok, the trio was asked how much they were paid per episode for Season 1.
Colletti interjected to answer a question and began calculating how much $2,000 would be divided by eight episodes, but Cavallari interjected, “I thought it was $2,500?”
“What?” a shocked Colletti, 40, asked, taking a step back.
He and Conrad asked in unison if she was being paid $2,500. Because it was news to them.
The Uncommon James founder smiled mischievously at the camera and confirmed that was the amount she received.
“I thought everyone did,” Cavallari, 39, insisted, adding that she would have filmed the show “for free.”
The reality stars said they all got paid the same amount to appear on “Reunion: Laguna Beach,” noting that it was “not much more” than their salaries on the MTV reality series “OG,” which aired from 2004 to 2006.
Conrad, 40, quipped, “No one did this for the money.”
The long-awaited “Laguna Beach” reunion, a two-hour Roku special that premiered April 10, reunited the original cast on screen for the first time in 20 years.
During the original show’s run, Conrad and Cavallari had a long-standing feud, which revolved around a love triangle with Colletti.
However, the women have since forgotten the feud. Cavallari revealed on his podcast “Let’s Be Honest” last year while filming the reunion that the two were “friends.”
“Lauren and I are friends now,” she exclaimed, adding that “the world is healing,” before speaking of the “amazing time” she had reuniting with her former co-stars.
“I don’t mean to sound cheesy, but it was really healing in so many ways. It was very therapeutic,” she told podcast listeners.
“I think this is funny because, to be completely honest, I actually didn’t want to do it,” the “Very Cavallari” alum continued. “I’m really, really happy. It was such a great experience and just the perfect way to end the whole ‘Laguna Beach’ thing.”
