Katy Perry and Chief Keef have crafted a remix.
Thirteen years after Keef threatened to “smack” Perry during an online beef, the two released a remix of Perry’s 2013 song “Legendary Lover” on Thursday.
Perry shared a TikTok video of the duo dancing and singing along to the song with the caption, “Legends are out now @ChiefKeef.”
The “Roar” singer, 41, and the rapper, 30, have combined their respective songs “Legendary Lover” and “Save Me” for a remix after both songs went viral on social media platforms earlier this year.
Rumors of a collaboration between the two sparked Wednesday when Keef’s record label 43B posted an Instagram reel of the artists chatting in a parking lot surrounded by a group of people.
“#Chiefkeef and #Katyperry are finally together,” read the cryptic caption of the uploaded file.
The same day, Perry shared on TikTok a video of himself and Keef having a “legendary relationship” as they shook hands to the sound of the remix.
Another TikTok posted earlier in the week showed Perry sitting on a couch meditating with the caption, “Trying to summon Mr. Keef.”
In particular, the duo clashed on social media in 2013 when Perry covered Keef’s song “Hate Bein’ Sober” featuring 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa.
Perry tweeted at the time, “I heard a new song on the radio called ‘I Hate Being Sober’ and I have some serious questions about the world.”
In response, Keef (real name Keith Farrell Cozart) tweeted that Perry “chops the skin off my skin.”
“I’m going to beat the hell out of her,” he added in another scathing message.
Perry later publicly apologized to Keefe.
“Mr. Keef! Sorry if I offended you. I heard a lot of people guesting on this song, but I didn’t know it was you in particular,” she wrote on Twitter (now known as X).
Perry released “Legendary Lovers” as part of his fourth studio album, Prism, and Keef sampled the song as “Save Me” in 2014.
