“Welcome to Jackass” Paramount Pictures has released the trailer for the fifth and final film in the stunt comedy series. “Jackass: The Best and Last” will be released in theaters on June 26th.
Originally started as an MTV show 26 years ago, “Jackass” has since become a decades-long property, spawning four feature films and numerous spin-offs starring original cast members including Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason “We Man” Acuña, Dave England, Preston Lacy and Ehren McGee.
Most recently, the cast reunited for 2022’s “Jackass Forever,” where the pranksters performed a number of hilarious and absurd stunts. During filming, Knoxville was mauled by a bull and suffered a brain hemorrhage, concussion, broken wrist, and broken ribs, injuries so severe that he semi-retired from daredevil action.
“There’s nothing I can do where I could get another concussion,” Knoxville said on the podcast “The Book That Changed My Life.” “(I’m) way beyond the concussion limit, but I don’t care about anything else. I can’t hit my head anymore. But a lot of other people can.”
Variety previously confirmed that another Jackass movie would be returning to screens earlier this year following a joint Instagram post by Knoxville, the official Jackass account, and Gorilla Flix, the production company founded by Jeff Tremaine.
“Well, Wandan and hot doodles, we’re off to a great start to the year,” the statement reads. “We wanted to let you know that ‘Jackass’ is back this summer!! See you in theaters on June 26th. More details to come, but we wanted you to hear from us first!!”
