Jodie Foster was photographed walking with a cane while out shopping with wife Alexandra Hedison in New York City.
The “Silence of the Lambs” star had her hands full Tuesday as she stopped multiple times to grab several bags.
At one point, she asked Hedison for help.
Foster, 63, wore green pants, a white T-shirt and button-up jeans for the daytime outing.
Hedison, 56, was wearing black pants and a brown jacket.
It is unclear why the “Taxi Driver” star was using a cane, and her representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six for comment.
However, Foster was not seen using a cane when she was found in Beverly Hills, California, in March.
The “Brave One” star was on crutches when he underwent knee surgery following a skiing injury in 2018.
At the time, she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! ” was appearing on the show. He then revealed that he had acquired a new anterior cruciate ligament made from cadaver parts and titanium steel.
Meanwhile, Foster and Hedison got married in 2014.
The “Accused” star is also the mother of two sons, Charlie and Christopher “Kit” Bernard Foster, with whom she shares ex Sidney Bernard. The two dated from 1993 to 2008.
Foster’s children tend to stay away from the spotlight, and Foster previously revealed that they thought he was a construction worker.
She told The View hosts in 2024 about how she wanted her children to have a normal life. “I wanted them to know me as a mother and as someone who left home for work and stuff like that.”
“One day I took[Charlie]to a set and bought him a little plastic tool belt and stuff,” she recalls. “And I thought, ‘Yeah, this is this set and this set and this set.'” And for a really long time, he thought I was a construction worker. ”
Although Foster’s sons rarely go out with her, Charlie made a rare red carpet appearance with her at the 2025 SAG Awards.
