Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Mathers was arrested for drunk driving three days after appearing in court on similar charges.
According to TMZ, Mathers, whose real name is Kimberly Ann Scott, was arrested early Thursday morning at the Macomb County Jail in Mount Clemens, Michigan on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Sergeant Joseph Feld Scott of the Chesterfield Township Police Department told the outlet that Mathers is suspected of hitting a car in a Detroit neighborhood Wednesday night. Police do not know where she went or where she came from, and no injuries were reported.
Mathers, 51, has since been released from prison.
Page Six reached out to the Chesterfield Township Police Department for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
On Monday, Mathers appeared in court and pleaded no contest to impaired driving and failure to report an accident that occurred in February.
The mother-of-four was allegedly taking her son Parker and his friends shopping at the time when she crashed into a parked car.
Instead of stopping, Mathers drove home and crashed into his garage door. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Body camera footage of the 15-time Grammy Award winner’s ex-girlfriend shows responding officers discovering bottles that allegedly contained soda and alcohol. The footage also showed Mr. Mathers taking a breathalyzer test.
Mathers’ sentencing for the February DWI charge is scheduled for June, but it’s unclear whether her new charges will affect that hearing.
Kim and Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers) first married in 1999 and divorced two years later.
“Real Slim Shady” rapper Eminem, 53, and Kim remarried in January 2006 in a small ceremony in Michigan. However, just three months after their second wedding, Eminem filed for divorce.
The ex-girlfriend has three children, Haley Jade Mathers (30), Alaina Marie Scott (33), and Stevie Lane Mathers (24).
After her divorce from Eminem, Kim welcomed son Parker, who is now a teenager.
