Jennifer Lopez’s first ex-husband, Ojani Noah, has revealed details about his dramatic confrontation with Sean “Diddy” Combs over his alleged affair with the singer.
“Everything was great and we were so in love,” the actor revealed in an interview with US Sun.
“I was responsible for launching a nightclub called The Conga Room in Los Angeles, which was co-owned by Lopez, while she went to New York and Miami to make her debut album, On the 6,” he recalled.
“That’s when Diddy was drafted in to help produce some of the tracks.”
Noah, 62, said the “Selena” actress and Combs “knew each other before the media reported it.”
“She was spending more and more time with Didi and I was seeing her less and less,” he claimed. “Then the rumors started. I still had a lot of friends who worked at hotels in Miami, and they called to say they saw them hanging out and leaving.”
Noah, 57, said his relationship with the Bad Boy Records founder was “a job” until a photo surfaced of Lopez and Combs, 56, sitting on his lap at a Miami-area hotel.
“I found out that she was cheating on me, so we started fighting a lot,” he claimed.
When Noah didn’t hear from his then-wife, he boarded a plane from Los Angeles to Miami and showed up unannounced at Lopez’s hotel. He said they had a “big fight” and she told him she couldn’t visit him indiscriminately.
Noah then recounted the time he confronted Combs when he showed up at Lopez’s assistant’s birthday party.
“That was the year she dumped him. We were still friends and decided to try again,” the Cuban actor recalled, adding that Lopez should be “forgiven for once” for his past “mistakes.”
“She had tried to abandon Didi before and he had threatened her and her family,” Noah claimed.
“Everyone was surprised when he showed up at her assistant’s birthday party in Los Angeles that Jennifer threw for her,” he added.
“I went up to him and told him to leave. Then he asked me to stand back. He asked me who I was and I said, ‘Fuck you.’ I told him that I had been sleeping with my wife.”
Noah said the “Hustlers” star got between him and the “Act Bad” rapper and told Combs he was leaving the party, but Combs wouldn’t do so.
“I got mad at her and at the end of the night she got in his car and left,” the “I See Me” actor recalled.
A few weeks later, Noah said, Lopez called and was “scared” when Combs showed up at her home in Los Angeles and started screaming Noah’s name.
“She said she was scared and scared, so she immediately slipped out of work and came over. He must have been hiding because when we got there it was pitch black and she couldn’t see anyone. When I got into the car, he started screaming and told her he knew I was inside,” he claimed.
“That’s when I confronted him. Jennifer was on the balcony and I told her to stop because she was worried. She said he had a gun and I said I was going to beat him up,” Noah said.
“She said she would call the police, but the neighbors must have called the police because the police showed up and Didi ran away.”
Noah claimed that Lopez told Combs “he might do something bad,” but the actor said he told the disgraced hip-hop star to his face that he was a “coward.”
“That’s why he always had a bodyguard with a gun, so anyone could fight him one-on-one,” Noah argued.
Page Six reached out to Combs and Lopez’s representatives for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
Noah and the “I’m Real” songstress were married from 1997 to 1998. Noah previously blamed Combs for their divorce.
Lopez made their romance with Combs public in September 1999, when they made their official debut as a couple at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Later that year, clothing brand founder Sean John was involved in a high-profile New York nightclub shooting. Lopez was one of many people arrested after officers found a stolen and loaded 9mm semi-automatic gun in the car in which he and Combs fled.
The singer was held in solitary confinement for more than 12 hours, but was never charged.
Combs and Lopez separated in 2001.
The “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper was convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and is currently serving a 50-month sentence.
The “Enough” actress has been married three other times. One was married to dancer Chris Judd from 2001 to 2003. From 2004 to 2014, it was singer Marc Anthony. And from 2022 to 2025, it will go to actor Ben Affleck.
Lopez and the “Vivir Mi Vida” singer, 57, have 18-year-old twins Emme and Max.
