Debbie gets the surprise of her life on Sunday’s episode of “90 Day Fiance” when Mi-do proposes to her instead of breaking up with her.
Sunday’s episode begins with last week’s cliffhanger. Mido made a bombshell about wanting to go back to Egypt, and Debbie was devastated and sobbed on the floor outside the wedding venue.
However, it turns out that Mi-do was actually planning to officially propose with 25 days left on his visa.
Mido chases Debbie outside the wedding chapel, where she continues to feel unwell, but she is so upset that she turns her back on him and refuses to turn around when he calls her name.
When she turns around, Mido pulls out an engagement ring from his bag. He gets down on one knee, but Debbie still won’t look at him.
Eventually, he got up and hugged her from behind, leaving the ring on the floor. Debbie was still extremely distraught and said, “Please stop. No.” She continued to cry and finally turned around to see Nido on one knee holding the ring.
He smiled, pointed at her, and said, “I got it!”
Debbie is completely stunned and replies, “I’m going to kill you.”
The moment she collapsed to the floor in shock, crying loudly as they hugged each other, was incredibly dramatic.
Mido told the camera that even though he knew Debbie was looking forward to the proposal, he had been holding onto the ring for a while, waiting for a good opportunity to surprise Debbie.
Debbie loves her new engagement ring and says it looks “perfect” on her finger.
In his confessional, Mido said their relationship has had its ups and downs since he moved from Egypt to New Orleans, Louisiana to be with his girlfriend and pursue his dream of becoming a movie star in America, but that they now understand each other better.
“And now I know she’s a good person and has a good heart,” he says. “And I think before we met, she was missing… We were missing something in our lives. And now I think I have completed her and she has completed me.”
Later, Debbie proudly shows off her ring to the camera and praises Mi-do’s proposal as “beautiful.”
“It wasn’t what I expected, but it’s still beautiful,” she recalls.
90 Day Fiancé airs Sundays at 8pm ET/PT on TLC.
