Variety exclusively reported that Denny Benton has signed a contract with Gersh for all representation rights. Mr. Benton will continue to be repped by Perennial Entertainment and Shrek Rose.
Benton currently stars in HBO’s hit series “The Gilded Age.” She has played Peggy Scott on the series since its inception in 2022. The third season of the series will air in 2025, and the fourth season is currently in production. The show has gained viewers each season, with the third season finale drawing a series-high 5 million viewers in its first three days.
Benton was nominated for a Critics Choice Award for her performance on the show, and was nominated for a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Her other television credits include the popular Lifetime series “UnReal,” and her recent film credits include “Dreams in Nightmares,” which premiered at the 2025 Berlinale. Benton also stars in the film “Tender Thoughts,” which premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival.
Benton is also a very good stage actor. She made her Broadway debut as Natasha in “Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812”. For her role on the show, she was nominated for a Tony Award, a Drama League Award, a Theater World Award, a Lilly Award, and was named to Forbes magazine’s “30 Under 30” list. Other stage appearances include Eliza Hamilton in “Hamilton,” Nabulungi in “The Book of Mormon,” Susan in “Tick, Tick…Boom!” and Cinderella in the revival of “Into the Woods.” This fall, she appeared as Taisa in the Public Theater’s musical concert adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Pericles.”
