SiriusXM will start distributing Fox Weather across its satellite radio services starting June 3, in a move aimed at making more weather news available as hurricane season begins on the Atlantic Coast.
The channel is available to listeners across North America via the SiriusXM app (ch. 799) and 360L-equipped SiriusXM-equipped vehicles. Access to the SiriusXM app is included with most SiriusXM subscriptions. When a significant weather event occurs, Fox Weather becomes available as a free public service to anyone with access to a SiriusXM-enabled radio or the SiriusXM app.
Fox Weather launched as a mobile and digital video service in 2021 and has been working to expand its distribution ever since. Fox News Radio affiliates also provide Fox Weather stream audio to their affiliates during major hurricanes and weather events, and Fox Weather is simulcast on Fox News Channel during weather alerts. The outlet introduced new challenges to weather reporting, introducing the first 3D mobile radar and establishing a network of thousands of cameras across the country.
The service is available through Fox One, DirecTV, Samsung TV Plus, Amazon Prime Video, Verizon Fios, The Roku Channel, YouTube TV, YouTube.com, Vizio Watchfree+, LG Channels, Fire TV Channels, Hulu + Live TV, DISH Network, and more. Fox Weather will continue to be available in simulcast on Fox Business Network from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. ET on weekdays and 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET on weekends. It is also available on Fox television stations’ Diginet in markets such as New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
