Hasbro is launching a new “My Little Pony” series exclusively on YouTube.
The show, titled “My Little Pony: Forever Friendship,” is expected to debut on YouTube in early 2027. Nine-minute episodes will be released every two weeks. The series is said to be about “Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy as they embark on a new journey of friendship, magic, and self-discovery.”
The cast includes Jenna Weir as Twilight Sparkle, Eva Preston as Rainbow Dash, Kayla Samson as Fluttershy, and Kaya Kinjo as Pinkie Pie. Gretchen Mallory will serve as showrunner and head writer, and Taihan Mustafa will serve as series director. The series was developed in collaboration with Lil Critter Workshop and features artistic contributions from illustrator Nicholas Cole.
“For more than 40 years, ‘My Little Pony’ has been one of Hasbro’s most beloved and enduring franchises, connecting with generations of fans around the world through stories rooted in friendship, imagination and creativity,” said Kim Boyd, Hasbro’s President of Global Licensing and Entertainment. “With My Little Pony: Forever Friendship, we will continue to grow the brand through fresh storytelling, a visionary creative team, and new entertainment experiences designed to inspire today’s audiences, while staying true to the core of the My Little Pony series that fans have always loved.”
Hasbro also announced a new music track, “Forever Friendship,” created by vocalist Cali Roddy and produced by Super Weird Productions.
