According to Deadline, the reality star will serve as an executive producer on Netflix’s upcoming YA series Calabasas.
The outlet reported Wednesday that the drama was inspired by Via Breidner’s “If I Lived Here, I’d Be Famous by Now: True Stories from Calabasas.”
Showrunner Chris Van Dusen, who also produced the first two series of Bridgerton, described the project as a “compelling, daring, addictive and emotional show” that would be “escapist and provocative, but also deeply personal.”
He praised the “entire producer team,” which also includes Kardashian and Emma Roberts, as “smart, collaborative and ambitious…creative partners.”
Kardashian and Roberts, 35, previously co-starred in American Horror Story: Delicate.
Kardashian has yet to comment on Wednesday’s news, but she reposted three headlines about it via her Instagram Story.
The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star is reportedly the “driving force” behind “Calabasas,” which centers on the forbidden romance of the daughter of an elite private school principal.
Kardashian, in particular, grew up in the area and now lives in Hidden Hills, California, which borders Calabasas.
The businessman has a “heavy schedule” that includes a new role producing “The Fear of 13” on Broadway, sources told Us last week.
Kardashian made headlines after she temporarily put her plans to become a lawyer on hold because she is “deeply involved in filming and producing several projects.”
“She decided it was best to skip this bar exam and focus on taking it again when she was ready,” we hear.
An official explained, “Once Ms. Kim decides on something, she puts her all into it. This is not something she takes lightly. Most people who take the bar exam spend several months leading up to the exam and put all their effort into preparing. However, as a single mother, Ms. Kim works nonstop.”
However, Kardashian has no intention of giving up on her dreams.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum passed California’s “baby bar” on her fourth attempt in 2021, but failed the California bar exam in 2025.
She skipped the February test and plans to test again in July.
