The official trailer for Eli Roth’s “Ice Cream Man” has been released. The slasher film is scheduled to be released in 2,000 venues across North America on August 7th.
The trailer shows children going insane after buying ice cream. One video shows them approaching their sleeping parents, forming snow angels in a pool of blood, and holding down a woman with one of them holding an ax in her stomach.
Set in an idyllic summer town, an ice cream shop offers ice cream to children, but horror strikes. The film stars Ari Millen (Orphan Black) as the title character, and also stars Benjamin Byron Davis (Guardians of the Galaxy 3), Karen Klish (Thanksgiving), Dylan Hawko (Heartland), Sarah Abbott (The Body), Shiloh O’Reilly (Thanksgiving), Chioli Mirza Waldman, and Charlie Seltzer. (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), Charlie Story (“Thanksgiving”).
In addition to directing and producing the film, Ross co-wrote the screenplay with longtime collaborator Noah Belson (The Rotten Fruit).

The film has original music by composer Brandon Roberts, and features additional music by Snoop Dogg and prosthetic makeup effects by Steve Newbern (“Thanksgiving”) and Adrian Morrow (“Whales”). Cream Productions’ Kate Harrison (“Thanksgiving”) served as producer with Ross.
Ross co-wrote the script with longtime collaborator Noah Belson. “Ice Cream Man” will be the first film under the horror section banner.
Founded in 2025, Horror Section is Roth’s company that curates horror-centric experiences. Future releases will also include “Don’t Go In That House, Bitch!,” with Snoop Dogg serving as producer, original soundtrack writer and performer.
