Faizon Love didn’t make any money last year.
According to TMZ, the “Elf” star revealed his shockingly low income during his child support battle with Tiffany Lee.
The 58-year-old reportedly revealed in court documents earlier this month that his 2025 income would be zero, as well as saying that his highest annual salary for the past five years was $13,000.
At the time, Love shared the figure as a way to argue that she could not afford the $250,000 in child support she allegedly owed Wells.
He also blamed his absence at an April hearing on the case on a medical emergency.
But a judge found Love in contempt of court in May and ordered him to serve 90 days in jail.
Love, a Glendale, Calif., resident, was arrested Tuesday in Tampa, Fla., and charged with two counts of contempt of court.
He is being held without bail in the Hillsborough County Jail.
Specifically, the comedian is facing felony assault charges in San Diego, California, related to an incident with a hotel employee in 2024.
Love, who has maintained his innocence, is said to have hit a staff member in the face with a credit card machine.
“Mr. Love was very upset. He went from 0 to 100 really quickly,” the female suspect said in her July 2025 testimony. “He kept asking if we knew him.”
After a preliminary hearing, a judge determined there was enough evidence to proceed to trial.
Back in 2017, Love pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge after he was filmed attacking an attendant at an Ohio airport.
At the time, he was sentenced to a $500 fine and a 180-day suspended jail sentence.
In addition to “Elf,” Love is best known for roles in “Friday,” “Couples Retreat,” and more.
