Chrishell Stause has harshly dissed Katharine McPhee after the reality star threw her weight behind Spencer Pratt in the Los Angeles mayoral race.
The “Selling Sunset” alum commented on influencer Geordie Clay’s TikTok video, detailing McPhee’s dating history and highlighting the “American Idol” Season 5 runner-up’s scandals, including her controversial marriage to David Foster, 35 years her senior.
McPhee, 42, married Foster, 76, in June 2019, making her the record producer’s fifth wife.
Stause, 44, commented on the video: “One day she will find true confidence within herself, but it will only be after being ignored so many times by the troubled men she supports.”
She added: “Insecure women will steal your man and give you the worst advice.”
Clay’s video delves into McPhee’s 2013 cheating scandal. At the time, McPhee was still married to ex-husband Nick Caucus and was spotted kissing Smash director Michael Morris. Morris was also married to Broadway star Mary McCormack at the time, and the two still live together.
In a 2016 interview with Ocean Drive magazine, McPhee said she had “no regrets” about the scandal.
“I got married really young and then got divorced,” she said.
McPhee added of dating, “This is something I should have done when I was 20 instead of planning a wedding. But I don’t regret it. Every choice I made was a really deep learning experience.”
Meanwhile, Stause has been vocal about not wanting Pratt to be the next mayor of Los Angeles, writing in a thread in April, “No more requests for reality star politicians! I have nothing against Spencer! In fact, I like him on TV! Not in government 😩CA, get it together 🙏🏼.”
Earlier this month, Ms. McPhee serenaded Ms. Pratt during a fundraiser with Ms. Foster at her Brentwood Park home in Los Angeles.
In a video posted to social media from the event, Foster played keyboards while McPhee sang Tina Turner’s 1989 hit “The Best,” but she changed the lyrics to sing that Pratt was “better than[Los Angeles Mayor]Karen Bass and[Los Angeles City Council member]Nithya Raman.”
At one point, she forgot Raman’s first name and mistakenly called her “Cynthia”.
Not everyone supports Mr. Pratt, 42, and his political ambitions.
“The Hills” co-star Lauren Conrad had an awkward reaction when asked if she would vote for him during an appearance on “Today” last month with “Laguna Beach” alums Stephen Colletti and Kristin Cavallari.
Conrad, 40, responded, “I’m not a resident of Los Angeles.”
When asked if he and Pratt had fallen out since the two feuded on the MTV reality series, Conrad replied passively, “Of course.”
“You’re asking me about people I haven’t talked to in decades,” she pointed out.
