As ‘Hole’ star Shia LaBeouf continues to face legal troubles stemming from his recent bar brawl, Bryan Cranston has some candid advice.
“Shia, help me,” the 70-year-old “Breaking Bad” alum said in a joint interview with Frankie Muniz for Esquire’s “Questioning Minds,” published Wednesday.
Cranston’s message came as his “Malcolm in the Middle” co-star reflected on his early career as a child actor.
“I remember everyone really pushing me to do ‘Hole’ because of the story. It’s a little more dramatic,” Muniz told Cranston.
“Shia LaBeouf ended up doing it, and I think it gave his movie career a huge jump.”
Of course, LaBeouf shot to fame after this breakthrough role, with credits in major films such as Transformers, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, and I, Robot.
As Muniz researched LaBeouf’s filmography, he couldn’t help but wonder, had things gone differently, “Would I have been taken more seriously as an actor?”
Cranston then let out a long whistle, saying Muniz “could have taken Shia LaBeouf’s life.”
“Keep that in there,” Cranston quickly joked.
A representative for LaBeouf did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
LaBeouf made headlines just last month after his legal woes worsened following reports that the former Disney star was involved in yet another “physical altercation” in the Big Easy.
Sources tell TMZ that the actor tore his shirt during a fight outside Le Bon Temps Heur, just weeks after getting into a scuffle with three men at Mardi Gras and receiving three misdemeanor simple arrest charges.
LaBeouf was also embroiled in a separate lawsuit with ex-FKA Twigs, accusing him of “trying to silence her” in a 2020 settlement document stemming from a sexual assault lawsuit with ex-FKA Twigs last month.
In addition to his ongoing lawsuit, LaBeouf has also made headlines recently for displaying bizarre and explosive behavior.
On March 17th, it was reported that the actor caused a commotion by wearing only boxer briefs in the lobby of a hotel in Italy and asking guests to light a cigarette.
He was also seen on video yelling at a woman while relaxing outside at a local eatery while on vacation in Italy.
