Bijou Phillips reportedly has not yet found a donor as she is battling kidney disease.
According to Us Weekly, the model’s friends and relatives “went through the process” to see if she was suitable to donate a kidney. However, they failed.
Although there are “no potential donors at this time,” the newspaper reported that Phillips and her loved ones are “optimistic” that she will find a mate within the next “few months.”
While Phillips was in the hospital, a source told Us Weekly that she is “awake” and “aware of what’s going on,” but her condition remains “dire.”
As Page Six previously reported, the 45-year-old is currently hospitalized at UCLA Health’s CORE Kidney, undergoing dialysis while waiting for a kidney donor.
A friend previously donated to the “Bully” actress in 2017. But that kidney is now failing and Phillips is in desperate need of another.
On Wednesday, the model took to social media to ask her followers for help during her health battle.
He said the actress was in stable condition but “time is of the essence” in finding a donor.
“Please help me find a kidney,” she wrote above a photo of herself and her daughter Fianna when they were young. “I need a kidney.”
The Hostel: Part II star said her 2017 kidney transplant was an “incredible gift” that allowed her to live another eight “precious” years with her daughter, who lives with jailed and convicted rapist Danny Masterson.
“Since then, I have experienced many complications, including BK virus (also known as human polyomavirus 1), which caused cellular and antibody rejection,” she added.
Stars flooded the comments section of Phillips’ Instagram with messages of support.
Paris Hilton wrote, “I love you so much, sis 🥰 Sending you so much love, light and strength ✨✨✨✨✨,” while her sister Nicky Hilton added, “Love you Biji! ❤️❤️❤️.”
The heir’s mother, Kathy Hilton, commented: “We send our prayers with love and light 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏, we love you.”
