The show was originally announced in May with Stiller starring and executive producing. This is del Toro’s first lead series comedy role in his career and also reunites him and Stiller. Sony Pictures Entertainment, which began investing in exhibition with the acquisition of Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas in 2024, announced plans to restore the Cinerama Dome and reopen it in 2028. An upcoming Family Guy spinoff focused on Stewie Griffin is expanding its voice cast.
