‘Alaskan Bush People’ star Bear Brown is addressing several ‘rumors’ regarding her relationship with Matt Brown during her brother’s disappearance.
“Everyone is saying the family turned their backs on Matt, but that’s not true. We’re not putting everything out there,” Baer said in a TikTok video posted Friday about her brother, who was allegedly killed after appearing on a suspicious livestream.
“Matt’s done a lot of bad things. There’s a lot of bad things that people don’t know about. If he did a lot of bad things, people would change their opinion (of him). I don’t think now is the time to talk about things like that.”
Baer went on to claim that his family “never turned their backs on Matt, and never will.”
“We went through a lot of trouble, a lot of stuff, a lot of effort and a lot of money to help Matt rehab three or four times. Everyone cared about him and was on his side,” he added.
“Everyone was trying to tell him that everyone cared about him, everyone loved him. Matt completely distanced himself from his family.”
However, Baer stressed that despite the difficulties he faced, he maintained a dialogical relationship with his brother, while others distanced themselves from him “for personal reasons.”
Bear warned fans about her brother’s possible death on Thursday, revealing that she was told that Brown’s eldest brother, Matt, had “taken his own life.”
But at the time, Bear told fans that Matt was allegedly “seen in, on, or near the river” and then “floating down the river,” although she could not “confirm that it was true.”
Baer said someone then “called the police,” and police are “trying to find the body.”
In Friday’s update, Baer doubled down on his previous statements, telling his followers that he was “99 percent” sure that the body seen was Matt’s.
“So, I’ve talked to quite a few people and things. We’ve heard from local people, witnesses, the coroner. At this point, no bodies have been recovered,” he said.
“All the witnesses say Matt’s description fits the T-type, so there’s a very good chance that’s him. I’m still praying by some miracle that’s not the case.”
Matt was last seen a week ago, apparently under the influence, filming a nude livestream. In the video, he can be seen walking around carrying what appears to be a gun.
