“Wednesday” was revived in September with the debut of Part 2 of Season 2. The final four episodes of the new season have seen 28.2 million viewers in the first five days on Netflix, dropping viewership by 43.6% from 50 million viewers during the same period.
Still, the Black Comedy series starring Jenna Ortega as Addams on Wednesday is ranked number one on the top 10 English TV charts with part 1 of season 2 remaining in the No. 6 slot. Since the first half of season 2 premiered in August, some viewers may wait to slap the entire series all at once. Following the massive marketing push in Part 1, it may take several more days to make it possible for more episodes of the series to be available on the platform. The first season of “Wednesday” is Netflix’s most popular TV season, earning 252 million views worldwide in the first 91 days of its release.
Following “Wednesday” is the teenage drama “My Life With the Walter Boys,” which took another 10.9 million views in the second week. The buzz around the romance show also drove the fifth season on the charts with 3.5 million views from September 1st to September 7th. The British Limited series “Hostage” came in third place, followed by “Katrina: Camhell and High Water.”
Buzzy Documentary’s “Unknown Number: The High School Catfish” won an additional 26.3 million views in the second week, reaching number one on the English Film Chart. After its debut on August 23rd, “KPOP Demon Hunters” continued to captivate viewers, placing second place with 25.4 million views. “Thursday Murder Club,” which premiered on August 22, will be third in the first week of September with 18.7 million views.
