Emily Blunt and John Krasinski not only made a successful marriage together, but also made many films as a team. This is not something that every Hollywood couple survives. In an interview with Glamour in 2016, Krasinski said he fell in love with a dull thing long before he met her. He saw the devil wear Prada after its premiere in June 2006, and about 74 more times. Blunt discovers after they were on a bit of a date and asks if Blunt has ever seen the iconic Meryl Streep movie.
“I said, ‘Yes,’ and she said, ‘How many times?’ And I said, ‘A lot.’ She said, ‘What are you going to have so much?’ And I said ’75 times,” he said. “I was lucky enough to have her with me and didn’t realize she was really married to her stalker!”

Two years after discovering his comfortable film, Krasinki met Blunt through his friend Justin Therow while in Los Angeles.
In a late-night interview with Seth Myers in 2018, Brandt said: “It’s a bit sad, lame story. I was in the restaurant. He was in the restaurant. I was sitting with a mutual friend. And he was sitting with our friend Justin Theroux.
Krasinski and Blunt discussed who asked who first when they were talking to Hollywood reporters. Sweetly, they each believe they have to convince the other person. But that happened, they met pizza at Krasinski’s apartment, but they don’t get too detailed.
“It’s so valuable, I don’t want to talk about it,” explained Blunt.

The couple got engaged less than a year later, keeping most of the details of the moment private. “It was so casual and I was nervous,” Krasinski told Access Hollywood.
He added that both of them cried.
In an episode of the IheartMedia’s River Cafe Table 4 Podcast in 2021, Blunt revealed some more strange details, saying that he made Ina Garten’s “Engagement Chicken.”
“I think I made something that I knew he would love,” she said. “Don’t you like roast chicken or roast chicken?”

And again, less than a year after their engagement, they got married. The ceremony took place at George Clooney’s home in Lake Como, Italy. Krasinski told Elle that it was the idea of the actor at General Hospital.
“Only in the fourth question I said yes,” Krasinski said. “I thought it was the first three times so there’s no way he’s going to get serious. But I started watching his feelings get hurt, and it actually hurt George Clooney’s feelings.”
For the ceremony, Blunt wore a Marchesa gown and three carat round diamonds and platinum rings from Neil Lane.

Krasinski shared details of the meeting at the 2011 Ellen Degeneres Show, saying that before meeting his wife, she “we weren’t looking for a relationship.”
“Then I met her and I was very nervous. I said, ‘Oh, I think I’m going to fall in love with her,'” he shared. “That’s one of them as soon as you meet someone you know.”

In interviews with people, Krasinski shared more about his marriage with Blunt.
“It means I’m really lucky,” he said. “It’s one of those things. I’m more enjoyable now than I saw her, and it’s pretty wild.”
He added that birth hazel changed their lives.

Their second daughter, Violet, was born in June 2016, but Krasinski did not release the news until July 4th.

Their co-horror film, “A Quiet Place,” was announced in March 2017 through a sweet Instagram post with news and photos of the couple.

Just before her film’s Mary Poppins premiered, Brandt appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair, and Krasinski was interviewed for his wife’s profile. He gushed about her acting job.
“When she starts doing what she’s doing, the air turns into a room,” he said. “It’s so honest, so pure and powerful. It’s like a superpower, so she can unlock it and do so in a number of specific attempts.”
He added that his wife was “on another plane” compared to his own acting chops.
“This strange intersection happened while filming, where I completely forgot that I was her husband,” he said. “I was lucky enough to be in the front row just by watching her performance.”

The quiet place debuted in 2018, and Krasinski said more in an interview with people about Blunt’s work ethic and how they worked together.

The sequel to The Quiet Place was released in May 2021 and it worked very well, especially as people were hesitant to appear in the film again. Blunt said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! I felt the theme of the story, “I need your neighbor” was particularly appropriate.
“It’s become even more pronounced now. It’s kind of surreal,” she explained.

On a late show with Stephen Colbert, Blunt said she has maintained the outfit she’s worn on her first date with Krasinski all these years.
“I have a really bad, old royal blue velvet jacket, and I don’t wear it, but I wore it with John (Krasinski), I was my first date and I didn’t throw it away,” she admitted. “It’s a really bad jacket. I sat there and said, ‘It’s a terrible jacket.’

On Friday, January 17th, in New York City, Blunt and Krasinski were seen along with friends Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso in a photo shared by The Daily Mail. Foursome was out for dinner at the corner store in Soho. Blunt wore lace pants, matching sneakers, a long black coat and black black. Krasinski wore a black pea coat over navy blue pinstriped pants. Baroso wore a black mini dress with black stockings and ankle boots. About that, she had a long burgundy coat. Damon wore a blue sweater and matching pants.

On September 7th, Blunt and Krasinski joined the US Open with their daughters Hazel and Violet. The family found courtside in the men’s singles final in New York.
The next day, Brandt and Krasinski walked together on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of Brandt’s new film, “The Smashing Machine.” Blunt wore a strapless black ensemble with thin lace cutouts and low-rise striped pants, while Krasinski opted for a tailored grey suit and a black tie.
