The Royal Foundation of Prince and Princess of Wales charities poached another senior executive from the world of British entertainment.
Paramount’s UK chief Sara Rose has taken over from Amanda Berry, who left the studio to become the foundation’s CEO and resigned from her role as BAFTA CEO in 2022 to acquire the same position.
A highly respected television executive, Rose has been president of Paramount’s Channel 5 and Studios’ UK Regional Lead since February 2024. In a note to staff sent Tuesday, she said joining the foundation was “a unique career-defining role and simply couldn’t refuse.”
Rose will remain at Paramount until the end of 2025 to ensure a successful transition. Kevin McClellan is Kevin McClellan, president of International and Global Content, who oversees the process of finding a successor. Ben Flow continues to lead five people creatively as Chief Content Officer.
Rose’s appointment follows an announcement that current CEO Berry has moved to the position of Global Partnership Ambassador. This is a new role that supports “developing and delivering the philanthropic vision of the Prince and Princess of Wales and working through philanthropy.”
“We welcome Sarah to the Royal Foundation and look forward to working with her on some of the issues that are closest to our hearts,” said the Prince and Princess of Wales. “We are extremely grateful to Amanda for his outstanding leadership over the past three years and are pleased to continue working with us in his new role as Global Partnership Ambassador.”
