Actor Glenn Powell has risen rapidly on the fan crash list as his big role in Top Gun and his turn as a romantic lead for anyone but you. Naturally, the public was interested in his dating life and spoke honestly about it. In a recent interview with CBS Morning, Powell admitted that he is currently career oriented and not focused on dating.
“This is a time when life is moving so fast and I don’t even know if I can bring anyone to it… in a healthy way I try,” he explained.
“You can do it for the right people,” suggested host Gale King, and Powell replied, “For the right people, I think it’s right.”
The actor added that he “not chasing love” but is open to it.
“If love comes and slams me in the face and knocks me out, that’s what I really want,” Powell said. “You know, it’s like I really want kids, even just being with my nie or ne today.”
He continued, “I really want a stage in life. It’s not too far. At the same time, I realize that I need a very specific type of person to navigate this. That’s a lot.”
As the industry rises, Powell said, “I realize there are new aspects and new complexities in this life and this job.”
“I’m not going to have someone sign up if they’re not ready to bring someone in and make them feel comfortable and look and be loved when they can really eat with someone’s confidence or value, or something like that,” he explained.

In January 2017, Powell and the Vampire Diary Nina Do Brev were rumored to be on a date after spending a big ve day together in Texas.
Shortly afterwards, Powell was attending the Los Angeles premiere of Dobrev’s film xxx: The Resurrection. They were then seen at Golden Globes afterparties, where he was gosling to her Emma Stone at a Lalaland-themed birthday party in Dobrev.
That July they were each other’s dates to Julian Huff’s wedding with hockey player Brooks Reich. But by November, things were getting cooler. Dobrev returned to the set and according to sources who spoke to people, they had less time with each other.
“She’s filming a lot,” the insider said.

Rumors of the affair stemmed mainly from the prominent chemistry between Powell and his co-star Sidney Sweeney. In an interview with Business Insider, he said he and Sweeney planned it together.
“I give Sydney all the credit for this,” Powell said. “I don’t have the mental ability to stop doing this, but she’s very smart. She’s very smart. I’ve had a really great trip with her about this.”

On the last day of August 2025, Powell was photographed at the Il Cantinori restaurant, along with Olivia Jade Giannuli and her mother, Lori Laughlin. The photo was shared by the Gossip Instagram account Deux Moi. Powell put on a white T-shirt and a black baseball cap, and everyone seemed casually dressed. In their post, the account stated that the witness was “a very date night” and was later seen together at the Bart Leisure Club. However, neither Jeannuli nor Powell have confirmed anything.
On September 8th, US Weekly reported that Powell and Jeannuli were not romantically involved following their New York City outing. “They are close friends and don’t date,” the source told the outlet, adding, “They were friends for several years.”
The insider also explained, “Glenn is very close to John Stamos.
