Dokii didn’t attend to MTV VMA tonight. She still won two awards for Best Choreography and Best Hip Hop. The star was nominated in a total of four categories.
On Sunday, Dokii skipped the 2025 MTV VMA, but she still won from afar. The rapper won awards for Best Hip Hop and Best Choreography for her smash hit “Anxiety”. She was also nominated for Song of the Year and video.
The Grammy-winning artist announced a live show from the Swamp Tour in early August, closing at the Wham Theatre in Seattle on November 10th, before it began at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago on October 14th. She may be preparing for those shows.

In an interview with Elle in May, Dokiy discussed pushing boundaries and motivating her to continue growing as an artist.
“I get rid of people saying you can’t do anything or put restrictions on it. I’ve always wanted to push things a little further,” said the star. “When I was younger, I tried things by pressing a button and then I saw a lot of it. If anyone said, “Birds shouldn’t be scattered with diamonds.”
She continued. “I make birds with diamond studs. I don’t know why. I want to see everything possible. I want to see my dreams and reality come to life. I think that has always been my motto in my entire art.
Regarding the popularity of “Unrest”, Dokii said he was surprised at how it took off, especially in Tiktok.
“I’m always thinking about how it’s appealing and how digital footprints can come out of nowhere,” she explained the sudden rise in the song. “It was a record I made a long time ago and I made that freestyle and completely forgot about it. I wasn’t even thinking about the song.
