Sources have told Page 6 that Wendy Williams is not interested in returning to television as a talk show host, and currently focuses on people’s advocacy under guardianship and can go on a speaking tour.
Williams’ power lawyer Joe Takopina said in a new interview with “Extras” that he told him he wanted to expose what Williams considers a “abusive” system.
“It’s very unfair and very mean,” Takopina said. “What she told me was… “Joe, I wish I wasn’t in this situation… But if someone is in this situation, I can make me better on the platform so I can make the system public,” the lawyer said.
Takopina added that his famous client told him more to her. She said that if it would become someone, she would be happy that she was her.
Williams’s companions repeatedly told Page 6 that he was interested in going on a tour to talk to Page 6 about her experiences.
“It’s just an idea, but she thinks it’s important. She probably wants to do a panel, promote it, and talk about how to protect her family from protection. She wants to talk about how to get out of it and all the red flags.”
“If there’s one thing Wendy knows how to do it, it’s a story. She wants to bring this issue onto the stage,” they added.
Of course, Williams must first step out of his guardianship. She appears to have set up earlier this month in a report that recent medical results showed she had frontotemporal dementia and aphasia.
Williams denied having mental health issues, and Takopina said it was a “extra” report that Williams’ Guardian was related to the leak.
“Obviously (Williams’ Guardian was involved). People can mess it up. They don’t say that. They have not seen this report yet. They haven’t even seen Wendy. Not us.
Williams hired Takopina, who defended clients like $AP Rocky and President Donald Trump, and fought for her if she had to go to trial to get out of her guardianship. He says the next step is for her to complete a physical examination “by a neutral doctor,” he emphasized.
“And hopefully the guardianship lawyer will push this judge and push it to give an award. If it’s a correct award, then set a game, a match. And if it’s a wrong award, then I’ll get involved in a big way because a ju-counsel will be needed to resolve this,” he said.
“Does it sound like I have dementia?” she recently asked Page 6 while out in New York.
Williams appears to have faith in her legal team.
We caught up with her before she had dinner at Tucci in a few weeks and she told Page 6, “I’m going to get out of guardianship.”
The Williams Guardian called for comment.
