Odell Beckham Jr. is elated to be back with the New York Giants and has big dreams for the 2026 NFL season.
“Being able to bring the Super Bowl back to New York,” the 33-year-old athlete gushed in a new interview, explaining that he “didn’t want to leave” the Giants.
“This is truly my home. There’s no better place than New York,” he continued. “More than anything, I just want to win one game with the Giants. I came here the last few years to give it my all and give it my all. Let’s see what God has planned.”
The Giants, along with new head coach John Harbaugh, announced that Beckham Jr. will make his long-awaited return to the team in June after months of speculation.
The wide receiver was selected by the Giants in the first round (12th overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft and remained with the team until 2018. He then played for the Cleveland Browns (2019-2021), Los Angeles Rams (2021), Baltimore Ravens (2023-2024), and Miami Dolphins (2024). So far, his only Super Bowl win! — Was with the Rams (vs. Cincinnati Bengals) at SoFi Stadium in 2022.
As for his latest comment, OBJ (real name: Odell Cornelius Beckham Jr.) made it while partnering with reward and neighborhood commerce platform Bilt as an exclusive collaborator on August’s “Rent Free” collaboration.
“OBJ’s deep ties to New York and commitment to the Giants align very well with the essence of Bilt,” Bilt founder and CEO Ankur Jain explained in a statement. “We celebrate his return and are excited to work with him to build something meaningful that rewards Bilt members.”
Aside from the dream of winning another Super Bowl ring, the NFL player also recently revealed some other topics that are living “for free” in his head for the campaign.
“It’s funny, and I don’t tell a lot of people about this, but I had a big dream: There would be something like Catch 2.0. Let’s see what that means,” he said, referring to one of the greatest catches in NFL history, his legendary one-handed touchdown catch in November 2014 against the Dallas Cowboys.
“I don’t know if it was a better catch than the catch, but it was kind of an iconic moment,” he added. “Also, my son (Zaidon) is always on my mind. That’s what I can say about living ‘rent-free’ in my head.”
Beckham Jr.’s first game back with the Giants will kick off on Sunday, September 13th. The Giants will play the Cowboys at home at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
“Gotta start with a bang,” he teased.
To celebrate his return to New York, Beckham Jr. and the Bild will also host a preseason game and meet-and-greet exclusively for Bild members at MetLife Stadium on August 15th.
“What drew me back to New York and the Giants was deeper than football,” OBJ explained. “It feels only right to share this moment with the members of Bild who are as passionate about the game as I am.”
