Savannah Guthrie has implored her mother Nancy Guthrie’s kidnappers to “do the right thing” in a new video message.
“I’m here today with a very specific message: It’s been several months since my mother was taken from us. Our family is suffering,” he said in a heartbreaking video message posted to Instagram on Monday.
“We are in a never-ending nightmare. Nothing has changed for us,” the “Today” host added.
“We have done our part and we will never stop searching for her. We will always think of her and feel a hole in our hearts.”
Savannah then sent a clear message to the people who kidnapped her mother from her Arizona home earlier this year.
“The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place, and I know you’ve been trying to do things the right way. So I’m asking you, please, do the right thing now,” she said.
“Please make the right choice. Please help me find her. Please tell me where to look,” the 54-year-old journalist added.
“I truly believe it’s never too late to do the right thing. Please help us end this situation. I believe that for all of us, no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, there’s always a way back. Make the right choice.”
Savannah captioned the post, “Take her home 💛.”
Nancy, 84, was first reported missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona, on February 1st.
Shortly after, the FBI released horrifying home security camera photos of an armed and masked figure outside Nancy’s door the night she disappeared.
Last month, a former FBI agent claimed authorities were closing in on the man seen on Nancy’s front door camera.
However, despite receiving multiple ransom notes, the suspects in Nancy’s kidnapping have not been arrested.
Although her mother remains missing, Savannah returned to work on “Today” in April.
She is taking a short break from her morning talk show to film the game show version of Wordle.
