Love Island USA season 8 contestant Kenzie Annis has slammed rumors that she is a Trump supporter.
Speculation began to grow among Love Island fans at the beginning of the season after fans started posting unverified screenshots of Kenzie standing in front of a Trump flag on her Instagram account. On Thursday, she addressed the allegations directly on an Instagram livestream.
“That’s so funny because I’m not a Trump supporter, so you guys don’t care!” she said. “Just because I’m blonde and white doesn’t mean I’m a Trump supporter. What does that mean?”
Kenzie stars on the latest season of the super-popular dating show Love Island USA, where a group of dating-ready singles are dropped into Fiji to see if they can find true love. Viewers will be able to vote on who will be kicked off the island based on which couple is the most compatible, including choosing the winning couple who will ultimately win $100,000.
During his time on the show, Kenzie had more connections than anyone else, starting the season with Zach Georgiou and later re-coupling with Corbin Mims. She was eventually paired with Caleb McDaniel, and after Casa Amor, she met Dylan Lorna. Just before the finale night, the two were voted out of the villa.
Kenzie left the season with her last relationship, Dylan, before the final night, and the two recently made their relationship official. On Friday, Dylan wrote in an Instagram post: “Getting to know you in the villa was unforgettable, but falling in love with you in real life was all too easy. It didn’t take me long to realize there was no other way. I had to make you my girlfriend! And what better place to do it than at the top of New York City.”
Fans can look forward to the official reunion episode as the Love Island USA contestants return to reality. The episode will air on Peacock on Monday, August 31st at 6pm PT/9pm ET.
