Jon Bon Jovi abruptly canceled his Bon Jovi Madison Square Garden show Thursday night due to a sinus infection.
A representative for the singer told Page Six: “Jon Bon Jovi spoke from the stage and informed fans that he was battling a sinus infection, which led to the early end of the show.”
The statement continued: “As part of Bon Jovi’s residency at Madison Square Garden, John has expressed many times that he was happy to be back performing with the band.”
A spokesperson assured participants that “updated information will be provided shortly.”
Notably, the rocker fled the stage midway through the eighth performance of his nine-night residency at The Garden after the band played “Livin’ on a Prayer.”
“I’m sorry, I’m hurt and you guys didn’t get the best of me,” he told those in attendance, witnesses reported to Page Six.
“Please don’t throw away your ticket stubs. We’ll do something about it, okay?” the Grammy winner continued before exiting the stage. “Give me a moment and I’ll think of a way to reschedule.”
He has not yet mentioned cancellation.
The group announced a Forever Tour in October 2025.
“There is great joy in this announcement, a joy to share this night with our amazing fans and a joy to bring the band together,” the band’s frontman said in a statement.
“I’m lucky enough to be able to shine a light on the audience every night and stand in their reflection for a wonderful collective experience. I get to stand in our shoes at the concert.”
The tour, which kicks off on July 7, will be the band’s first since the songwriter underwent vocal cord surgery in 2022, but confessed to The Sunday Times in 2024 that “if my singing wasn’t good enough”, playing live might be “over”.
However, Bon Jovi confirmed to People last month that his voice has “fully recovered.”
In June, the “It’s My Life” singer explained, “It’s been longer than I expected, but it had to be right. We never lost faith.”
