Charlize Theron swooned over Matt Damon’s “incredible” physique during a heated interview about her Odyssey co-star.
When an Entertainment Tonight reporter pointed out the actor’s “physique” at the film’s recent world premiere in London, she pointed out, “I made this movie with him. … I’ve seen him without a suit.”
After staring off into the distance, the 50-year-old actress confessed: “It’s weird. It’s like I’m looking at him in a weird way. I’m looking at his butt.”
The Oscar winner jokingly chided himself, admitting that he “shouldn’t have done that” because “that’s wrong.”
Nevertheless, she later doubled down on how “amazing” the 55-year-old actor looks.
Theron and Damon play Calypso and Odysseus, respectively, in Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster, which opened Friday.
The two have worked together before, co-starring with Will Smith in 2000’s The Legend of Bagger Vance.
Theron told “Today” viewers earlier this month that the reunion on set was “emotional.”
“We shot the first take and I just thought, ‘Oh my god, we did this when we were babies and now we’re two old men,'” she recalled in a July 13 interview.
“[He’s]just one of my favorites,” the Golden Globe winner added. “It’s rare to have a similar experience 30 years later with someone just as great and amazing.”
At the time, Theron continued, “He’s a really good guy. He’s great people to be around, and we’re all very happy that he got this opportunity[to play the title role]. It couldn’t have happened with a better guy.”
When the two filmed The Legend of Bagger Vance, Damon had not yet met his current wife, Luciana Barroso, in Miami.
Damon started dating the then-bartender in 2003, and the “Martian” star popped the question two years later.
He and Barroso, 49, went on a walk in New York City in December 2005 and have since welcomed three daughters, Isabella, 20, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15.
Damon, who also adopted his partner’s daughter Alexia, 27, from a previous relationship, told People last week that family dinners are “non-negotiable” at home.
Theron has adopted two children, Jackson and August, and is raising them as a single mother.
Her star-studded relationship history includes Third Eye Blind singer Stephen Jenkins, Trapped co-star Stuart Townsend and actor Sean Penn.
