Will Arnett has remained silent about his marriage to Amy Poehler.
The “Arrested Development” star lashed out at his “Smartless” podcast co-host Jason Bateman after Arnett asked if he had ever pooped in front of the “Parks and Recreation” actress.
“Will, have you ever pooped in front of Amy?” Bateman, 57, asked on Monday’s show.
“Are you looking for clicks?” Arnett shot back. “Are you trying to get something we can click on?”
The “Ozark” alum then continued to try asking Arnett questions despite his initial reaction.
“I always forget about people listening to this. Wait a minute. You were married to your girlfriend and you had two kids. Have you guys never gone to the bathroom in front of each other?” Bateman asked again.
Arnett, 56, replied: “I’m sorry. The question is, did I poop in front of Amy? Are you saying I have no manners? What are you saying?”
Bateman said he thought it was a “good question,” but Arnett disagreed.
“That’s not a good question. I refuse to answer it. I refuse to answer it. It’s none of your business.” The voice actor was saying.
Arnett later said his ex-wife would be “furious” at Bateman’s comments.
Arnett and Poehler were married from 2003 to 2016 and have two sons, Archie, 17, and Abel, 15. (Arnett is also father to Alexander, whom he had with ex-boyfriend Alessandra Brown in 2020.)
In her 2014 memoir, Yes Please, Poehler spoke candidly about why she rarely talks about her divorce.
“I don’t want to talk about my divorce because it’s too sad and personal,” she wrote, adding that she avoids talking about it because “I also don’t want people to know about me.”
However, the “SNL” alum said he wants to resolve “a few things.”
“I am so proud of the way my ex-husband Will and I have cared for our children. I am beyond grateful that he is their father, and I do not consider our (almost) 10-year marriage a failure,” she wrote.
“That being said, getting divorced is really painful.”
