Gillian Barbery has claimed that in the mid-2000s, her Celebrities co-star Lloyd Eisler jumped out of a second-story window before Kristi Swanson’s boyfriend caught him cheating on her.
“I’m going to tell it like it is,” Barbery said on “Hollywood & Divine” on Tuesday. “They had an affair. Christy was with her boyfriend at the time, Lloyd was married and his wife was eight months pregnant and had returned to Canada.”
She recalled a story that happened while filming the show, revealing that Swanson and Eisler were almost caught in the act by the actress’ then-boyfriend.
“The boyfriend was pretending to be in San Diego, but he was actually in Hollywood. (He) called Christie, and she was in bed with Lloyd,” Barberi recalled, noting that Swanson’s boyfriend was actually downstairs. “(The building) knew he was with her, so they gave him a card to get in.”
Barbery said her boyfriend inserted the card into the door to open it, but Swanson knocked over the extra key.
“(Christy’s boyfriend) hears all the rustling. They’re upstairs. Lloyd jumped out the window and landed in the car,” Barbery added.
News of the affair made headlines in 2006, but the drastic measures Eisler took to avoid being caught by Swanson’s then-boyfriend bring a new twist to the story.
Representatives for Swanson and Eisler did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Eisler, 63, met Swanson, 56, while filming the first and only season of Fox’s “Skating with Celebrities,” which aired in early 2006. Mr. Eisler was a professional skater, and the actress was his celebrity partner. They ended up taking first place.
Before the show, Eisler won bronze medals at the 1992 and 1994 Winter Olympics with pair partner Isabelle Brasseur. The pair also won the 1993 World Figure Skating Championships.
Swanson is best known for her role as the original Buffy Summers in the 1992 film Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She also appeared in 1999’s Big Daddy and Hey, Where’s My Car? In 2000.
The relationship was discovered during the filming of Skate with Celebrities, where Eisler’s then-wife Marcia O’Brien was expecting their second child. When O’Brien visited the show’s set, he reportedly “could sense that things weren’t normal” between his two co-stars.
“Everyone knew something was going on. It was obvious they were together,” a show source previously told People.
O’Brien confronted Eisler about his infidelity, and Eisler left the house in November 2005. Wasting no time, Eisler openly dated Swanson shortly after he and his wife split, and they had a child together just a year later.
Eisler and Swanson married in 2009 and are still together.
